Dear Friends,

Amazingly, a year has passed since you, as a community, came together to support my wife and me with the Happy Smackah Fun Run. I was just one day out of the hospital on that day, and was both overwhelmed and humbled by your support.

There is really only one way for Karen and I to show our gratitude, and that is by paying it forward. We are honored to be a part of this community, and we are fortunate that we can be a part of this event.

The spirit of this event has certainly not changed, just the benefactors. Our new Happy Smackahs, Kaylee and Aubree, face their lives with optimism, courage and pragmatism. I am honored to be a part of supporting them. What a wonderful way to build our community to even greater heights.

With gratitude,

Dan and Karen Cribby

Thanks for the letter! That was a great day. Can’t wait for HS#2. It feels so good to be part of such a caring community.

Great article in the Daily Camera today about Happy Smakah, and beneficiaries Kaylee and Aubree! There’s nothing like a can’t-stop-laughing-cracking-up moment with your identical twin sister, as was portrayed in the photo. My identical twin sister, Polly, and I were inspired to register to support the girls and to be a part of a great community event. Thanks for all you are doing to keep the spirit going to to pay it forward! See you on Saturday, Katie Doyle Myers
