The Adams Twins 2018 Update
Hello Smackah’s!
Six years ago my girls Kaylee and Aubree were the recipients of the Happy Smackah because of their kidney disease and it has made such an impact on our lives. The love and support we had and the joy we are still having in returning the favor every year for the new recipients!!
Aubree and Kaylee have had one heck of a year!!! We have been truly blessed by two incredible donors, Kenzie Saint-John and Austin Gray! After a little over a year of dialysis Aubree finally got her kidney transplant on June 26, 2017. Her incredible friend Kenzie Saint-John donated her kidney to her and they are both doing awesome. Aubree had some struggles afterward but as of today we don’t see any sign of the disease (FSGS) coming back. She is so blessed and grateful to all her family and friends for all the support. She has left Pueblo and moved to Thornton to pursue her career as a Physical Therapy Tech/Assistant. It is nice for mom to have her closer!
Two days after Aubree’s transplant Kaylee had surgery to put in her dialysis port and start dialysis. With almost doing a year of dialysis and numerous infections Kaylee finally got her 2nd transplant on February 8th of this year!!
Her incredible donor was her grade school and high school friend Austin Gray. They are both doing awesome and we have no signs of the disease in Kaylee. She is also living in Thornton and giving herself some recovery time before she starts her career in Business Management in the sports industry.
We have been so blessed by these two incredible donors, Kenzie stopped her career and Austin stopped his training for Ninja Warrior to provide such a selfless gift to my girls. They are what we now call family!!
We couldn’t of done any of this with out our family and friends. This is why the Smackah is so important!!
Please come out on May 12th and support the 2018 Happy Smackah – Clara Shipp and her family.
Register today and tell all your friends!
Thank you,
Linda Adams
